CALENDARS

At Dalhousie, there's not just one academic calendar but three: one for undergraduate programs, one for graduate programs and one for the professional schools of dentistry, law and medicine. The calendars list all of the 3,600 classes and 180 programs offered at Dal, subject by subject.

As well, calendars include information on admission requirements, university regulations and degree requirements. Need to know how many electives you can take in your first year? Or what constitutes a breach of the Code of Student Conduct? Consult your calendar.

When using the calendar to select classes, keep in mind not all classes listed are offered every term. Refer to the timetable at Dal Online to determine whether a class is available. Because the calendars are published several months before the academic year begins, they may not be totally up-to-date. Thus, printed versions of the calendars may be slightly different from online versions.

NOTE: make sure the calendar you view is for the year you are interested in. At any given time, there may be more than one set of calendars available e.g. in March the calendar for the following year is available. The calendar published the year you began at Dalhousie contains the regulations that apply to you. We recommend you get a copy and keep it on your shelf as a reference. If you'd like a previous year's edition, contact us.
