MATH 2400.03: Introduction to Numerical Computing.
This class introduces students to numerical techniques for solving mathematical problems in the basic sciences. Students will be introduced to the MATLAB programming language and computing environment. Topics covered will include: round-off error analysis, solving non-linear equations, spline interpolation, data-fitting, numerical integration and differentiation and solving elementary differential equations.
PREREQUISITES:
MATH 1000.03, Recommended: MATH 1010.03, MATH 1500X/Y.06 or MATH 2030.03
